The Heart of EMAX Rotary Screw:

The airend is the most important part of your compressor, it is the heart of the machine that actually compresses the air. EMAX uses only the best German and Finland name brand airends. These airends have precision-aligned back to back tapered roller bearings with close tolerances that guarantee long life cycles and outstanding reliability. Each air end is tested to meet consistent high quality standards. Most airends are only good for up to 40,000 hours and then they need a complete overhaul. Our airends are good for 70,000 running hours as long as routine maintenance is performed with the correct EMAX oil. EMAX warrants all airends for 10 years!

The unit comes with a 120 gallon horizontal tank equipped with auto drain, hydraulic hoses, and fittings.

Premium Industrial Motors
We only use premium industrial name brand motors to run our compressors. They are low 1750 RPM motors that are efficient and manufactured with quality components. Motors are warranted for a full 5 years on single phase and a full 10 years on 3 phase!

Energy Savings!
otors consume the majority of energy so it is important to use quality controllers. When a motor starts at full load it causes a voltage sag on the power system which can result in damage to your power system. You can save 25-70% on energy by using motor controls or variable frequency drives. Our entire rotary screw line has the ability to have variable frequency drives installed in them. We use Schneider Altivar71 Brand drives that carry a 5 year warranty. Schneider Electric has been around since 1981.

Control: When a motor is started it takes as much as 8 times the full load motor current to start. Adjustable speed drives can take on 50-70% off that motor full load current by starting the motor at zero frequency and voltage. The process works by magnetizing the motor winding’s and builds the frequency and voltage slowly up to your settings. Programmable controls allow for adjustable operating speeds as well. These Schneider Altivar71 variable speed drives can be programmed to run at specific speeds, stop at a specific position, and are capable of applying a specific amount of torque. The ability to control these functions minimizes mechanical and electrical stress on the entire unit.

Lower Power Demand: Many power companies will offer rebates when running your system with a variable speed drive due to power demand. In most cases the system will pay for its self over time, sometimes in less than one year. Bottom line is you will see a lower energy bill with a variable speed drive.

Programmable Logic Controller

The rotary screw air compressors are controlled by a user friendly Logika PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). This controller makes this unit bullet proof. These controllers have many features that are extremely user friendly and easy to use. Here are some of its key features:

Pressure adjustment – The compressor's pressure range can be set by the customer and will shutdown if it goes over pressure.

Low Oil Shutdown – The compressor will shutdown if it sense low oil or high temperatures.

Reverse Fault – If the compressor is wired backwards it will sense a reverse rotation fault and shutdown.

High Voltage Fault – The compressor will shutdown if the voltage is 15% over\under the power supply voltage rated on the EMAX compressor data plate.

Over AMP Shut Down – The compressor will shutdown if it is pulling too many amps. You can check the amp draw of the electric motor and exhaust fan motor as it is running.

Clock and Date – The compressor has a built in clock and date to help keep track of preventative maintenance services.

Light – The compressor has a built in light for dark locations.

Hour Meter – Built in hour meter keeps track of the running hours on the machine.

Fault History -The PLC stores the running history of the machine and makes troubleshooting easier.

Maintenance Service – Alerts you when it is time to change the air filter, oil filter, coalescing filter, and oil\grease. When maintenance is completed simply reset that filter back to zero and start the maintenance tracker again.

Air Differential Control- Differential control will give you a wide range of pressure settings. You can take the kick-in pressure all the way down to 100 PSI and all the way up to 145 PSI and anywhere in between. The air compressor is factory set at 120 kick in and 145 kick out. It is recommended to keep your compressor at the lowest pressure possible to ensure more CFM and longer machine life.

Built in Timer - The compressor will sense when the unit is not being used for a period of 20 minutes under no load. The machine will automatically shutdown and will restart as air pressure goes down to the kick in set point.

Online Demand – This setting is made for high volume and will bypass the automatic kick-off mode. It allows the unit to keep running on continuous run mode for high air demand.

Warranty – The PLC’s carry a 5 year warranty.

Daily / Weekly Schedule – This compressor can be programmed to start in the morning and shut off at lunch and COB.

Self Start – If the power is lost the compressor will automatically restart itself therefore eliminating the need for a maintenance crew to have to restart after shutdown.

Master Slave – This controller can switch from one unit to the other and maintain the same use of hours, it can adjust the pressure to be the lead or the lag unit.
